Zombie Farm 2 was more of an enhanced version of the original Zombie Farm rather than a full blown sequel. It was released on April 23rd, 2012. On October 25, 2013, it was reported  that Playforge Games, the developer behind the Zombie Farm franchise, would be laying off staff and halting any new development on current and new IP. The rights to Zombie Farm were later sold to Behaviour Interactive who decided to stop supporting the game and as a result the game was removed from the App Store in May 2017.
