At the end of the last episode (Return to Ishar), Gil and princess Kai (also known as Ki) safely escaped from the terrible and immense Tower Of Druaga and recovered the Blue Crystal Rod. But things do not end here, and the goddess Ishtar now asks them to return the Blue Crystal Rod to heavens. The game starts in the town of Babirimu. The place is surrounded by a thick forest, a dreadful stormy mountains in the West and a Deadly desert in the East. The town is also crossed by a long river which leads, though the South, to the Soumar empire. The game is viewed through a sort of pseudo-3D representation of the scene. It however features unusual controls and the player (and in this case, Gil and Ki) can only face North. Direction arrows can be displayed in the top right corner and show, in some situations, what directions are available for the player to move through. This can be very useful as there is no apparent ways to see what is hiding behind our heroes' back. Several temples and labyrinths are scattered around the game and full of the traditional Druaga monsters such as Slimes, Warriors and deadly Ropers. A strong understanding of the Japanese language is necessary to play this game. Published on site: 9th of December, 2023
