Most of the employees of Perception were made redundant in early 2006, and the cancellation of this game as well as legal issues between their publisher and MGM lead to the closure of the studio. This soundtrack was lovingly created by 2 Australian composers, Scott Cairns and Alex Wallbank, and included some unique features for the time. Each level (or mission) had approximately 2 separate tracks composed for them, one being a calm (or Neutral) track, and the other being a more up-beat (or Combat) track. The game featured a dynamic music-meld system that would seamlessly transition between the two styles, not just playing one or the other linearly, but it would transition between them in a way that meant the position of the track didn't change. Each "Neutral" and "Combat" track has exactly the same length and was divided into "slices" so that the game could transition between these seamlessly. Truly innovative for the time.
