Sonic 1 - Mania Edition is a S1 Romhack from 2016, developed and published by Baraksha. As the SHC2016 Submission, the hack sets out to replicate the style of by-then-upcoming Sonic Mania to Sonic 1.
Results went as far as the level design tweaks in Green Hill Zone, changed audio in some moments & UI to be more Mania-ish.

Nothing was, unfortunately, later continued on after this contest submission.
