Mega Man Zero 3 is a great improvement over the past 2 games and is usually said to be the best in the Zero series. Graphicly and in sound design the game holds up extremely well. Getting rid of the weapon leveling system, all weapons start at their best. This time around, Zero has the Z-Saber, Z-Buster, Recoil Rod, and Shield Boomerang. The perfection of the spear-type weapon, the Recoil Rod, allows you to bounce off of the ground or enemies when charged. It can also smack around enemies, causing them to fly into each other or just be pushed aside. The Cyber Elf system has been upgraded as well. There are now two major types of Cyber Elves. Fusion Elves work like the ones in previous titles, they die on use and don't come back. The new type of Cyber Elves, Satalite Elves, don't die. You can also have two activated at once for extra power. The story is an improvement as well. The main antagonist is Dr. Weil, who was mentioned at the end of Zero 2. Sadly, this is the last game where The Four Guardians show up. Harpuia and the gang being absent from Zero 4.
