Mega Man Battle Network 4 introduced the Double Soul system into the series, as well as updating the art style. As for the gameplay, many things were dumbed down. This includes things such as the story and overall content in the game, most of which consists of constant backtracking. Many consider this game to be the worst entry in the Battle Network series.
