Originally released for PC (Windows) under title Maple Colors in 2003 featuring erotic content, this PlayStation 2 port was done in 2005 with reduced rating and removed adult scenes, as well as additional subtitle. Unlike the majority of visual novels which rely on constant 1st-person perspective with occasional choices that branch the story, Maple Colors additionally features 3rd-person isometric perspective where you cannot control your characters directly, but can cycle through the nearby NPCs and objects and direct your character towards it which effectively enters the 1st-person view and addresses the situation in a typical visual novel style with dialogue choices where applicable.
