Hitokata is a Japanese freeware visual novel, which at the time of release in 2001, was one of the more well known freeware VN titles in the freeware VN space due to its impressive length.

Hitokata - MP3 Edition includes original MP3 music, with earlier versions of Hitokata featuring public domain music in MIDI format. 

Images are from the Hitokata remake for mobile phones, although it uses a different soundtrack from the MP3 Edition. They're used simply because the original Hitokata has extremely few images to use.
