Description: 

Crash Team Racing is a kart racing game released in 1999, developed by Naughty Dog and released by Sony Computer Entertainment. This would be the final Crash game Naughty Dog will work on, as they decided to create a new IP for the upcoming PlayStation 2.
The story follows N. Oxide, the fastest alien racer in the galaxy, as he challenges our racers to challenge: if they win, he retires from racing; if he wins, he will take over the planet. After completing the competition, the racer if your choice defeates Oxide as he returns back to his home planet.

The gameplay works similarly to Mario Kart 64: the player controls characters from the Crash Bandicoot universe those far, most of whom compete in karts. While racing, the player can accelerate, steer, reverse, brake, hop or use weapons and power-ups with the game controller's analog stick and buttons. There are also diffrent modes of play and several secrets as a post-game unlockable content. Like every other PS1 game, this game is playable on PlayStation 2 through its backwards comapbillity, making it technically the first re-release/port.

This game was later fully remade for the cross-gen systems in 2019 as CTR: Nitro Fueled, this time done by Activision and Beenox. Along with the content from the original, they also added tracks from Nitro Kart and many others. In addition, there is far more replayabillity in this game, including thousands of new characters -each with it's own animations, voice and palette options-, kart customising, new secrets and even more.
