Description: 

Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R for short) is a PC fan-made remake of Metroid 2: Return of Samus (released on the Nintendo Game Boy in 1991). The v1.0 version released in 2016. After a v1.1 update, Nintendo of America gave the game's developer DoctorM64 a DMCA (Digital Media Copyright Act) takedown, since they don't allow fan remakes of their games. Nintendo would later work with MercurySteam  to make their own official remake called Metroid: Samus Returns, and DoctorM64 would join Moon Studios to be a Level Designer for their game.

AM2R's Fan-Community started doing updates to make the game better, these include widescreen support, major bug fixes, game improvements, and new game modes.
